The first thing is to make sure you can pop it. I know what you're all thinking, “Hannah, if I have a giant crater on my face, you better believe I'm going to pop it!” There are two kinds of actual pimples, or spots as some call it. There is the kind that is red, swollen and have no head and they are called "Papule's", they are the ones you CANNOT POP! These little stinkers are where some people just go crazy and start attacking their poor face by squeezing and pinching, which causes lots of pain and scarring. A papule should be treated by topical treatments like Tea Tree Oil or Salicylic Acid, any drug stores has lots of pimple spot treatments and most of them are great for just spot treating these little guys!
Here comes the exciting part. First, place your fingers beside the pustule and instead of squeezing and digging in, spread the skin and then wiggle under. This may seem like and odd way of popping a pimple, but its all about restraining yourself. The reason you want to come from underneath the pimple and wiggle back and forth, is to extract the pimple all way down to the bulb that is blocking the pore and clean all that gunk out!
